Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the HSE systems and to enforce and enhance internal policies. This position reports to the Customer Care Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Advises on and ensures company compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Trinidad and Tobago
- Develops, implements and ensures compliance with all HSE policies and procedures at all FTF locations
- Manages all COVID 19 Protocols, inclusive of conducting contact tracing and the coordination of employee testing
- Conducts training on the HSE processes
- Reports any accidents to OSHA and submits Workmen’s Compensation claims for processing where necessary
- Conducts investigations on all accidents and incidents
- Maintains Personal Protective Equipment logs and distributes PPE when necessary
- Conducts Annual Risk Assessments for all FTF ocations
- Liaises with the HR Department on HSE Industrial Relations issues
- Conducts Health and Safety orientation with all new employees
- Conducts research and makes recommendations for “best practice” procedures/ techniques
- Conducts HSE Internal Audits
- Manages the company’s STOW System
- Assists with ISO Audits as the Internal Auditor
- Monitors and reports all vehicular accidents to AS Bryden
- Any other duties assigned to you at Management’s discretion
Academic Qualifications, Experience and Soft Skills
- A minimum of five (5) O’ Level passes inclusive Mathematics and English Language
- A diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
- Certification/ Experiencing in auditing or
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Detail Oriented
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimum supervision
- Excellent analytical skills
